Some Employees believe burnout is fundamental part of success and as a result do not report their experience, this means figures might be much higher than predicted."

Empowering employees and protecting them against burnout

 

Lead Learning is an education provider that that works with key stakeholders across the UK. It’s diverse workforce comprises of tutors, teachers and instructors some of whom have different needs. From working parent to vulnerable groups, the well-being challenges presented a broad range of issues. Lead learning’s ethos is centred around people living well. A need to further empower employees via flexible working transform workplace culture and protect employees against burnout was identified.

 

 

Our Action

 

  • One of the key priorities was to understand what the well-being landscape was by conducting a wellbeing survey focused on high priority areas.

 

  • Our core approach to protecting employees from burnout was centred on mental fitness and resilience.

 

  • All employees took part in our survey at different stages and were given feedback about their progression.They were able to effectively identify targeted action to boost their wellbeing and manage existing and future mental health pressures and stress.

 

  • We provided a leadership training for leaders and managers on leading an effective and healthy work place which facilitated implementation of key health and safety processes and changes in working patterns.

 

 

Results

​

  • Overall level of employee resilience increased within 3 months. Key data around energy and inner drive where outstanding.

 

  • There was a successful redesign of flexible working pattern. This allowed employees to work remotely or hybrid for specific roles to increase employee flexibility and also business performance.
